Many philanthropic companies, on this day, give millions to charity so that the future of our country can be a little bit brighter. Jet Airways is one of those many companies with a philanthropic endeavour. A total of a hundred underprivileged children got an opportunity to fly in a plane, free of cost, on the occasion of Children’s Day. The birthday of our first Prime Minister came as a tight hug to these children, for they got an opportunity that perhaps be a once in a lifetime chance for them.SourceThere are many citizens in our country who still look up to the skies and wonder what it is like to fly. The feeling in the stomach when a plane takes off or lands provides an adrenaline rush and when the plane is soaring through the open skies, the majestic feeling that a person gets is just not describable. Many people do not get the chance to feel this. So, Jet Airways started an initiative 20 years ago by the name of Flight Of Fantasy. Under this program, the airlines selects NGOs that are aimed at helping children with special needs and gives them the opportunity to fly through the skies. The NGOs selected this time were Save The Children India, CanKids, Sahayini, and Center for Social Action.Mumbai: Jet Airways operates special flight for 100 under-privileged kids pic.twitter.com/0tQIc4FMHI— Times of India (@timesofindia) November 13, 2017Vinay Dube, Chief Executive Officer, Jet Airways, said, ” Children are our future and Jet Airways takes immense pride in being able to contribute and shape their dreams of flying via this unique initiative that gives kids the opportunity to experience the joy of flying for the very first time.” The airlines celebrated the event with the cast of Golmaal Again, Vinay Dube, and the children.
