We all have been in this place where the username we created is too embarrassing for the world to know, so we make a second account with a more publically suitable name. Earlier on Twitch, you would have needed a brand new account for using a different username and if you are a popular streamer, this would mean trying to transfer all the audience of the ‘hotsexygamer’ to a new username and would have lead to a disaster in your twitch revenue.

Fortunately, you can now change your twitch username without creating a new account and it is pretty simple to do.

  • Login to Twitch using your current username.
  • Open the Account Settings.
  • Click on the Edit button next to your username.
