We all have been in this place where the username we created is too embarrassing for the world to know, so we make a second account with a more publically suitable name. Earlier on Twitch, you would have needed a brand new account for using a different username and if you are a popular streamer, this would mean trying to transfer all the audience of the ‘hotsexygamer’ to a new username and would have lead to a disaster in your twitch revenue.

Fortunately, you can now change your twitch username without creating a new account and it is pretty simple to do.

  • Login to Twitch using your current username.
  • Open the Account Settings.
  • Click on the Edit button next to your username.

  • Check the availability indicated by the Green Check Mark at the end of the box.
  • Click Update and enter your Password for confirmation.

Viola! You just changed your Twitch Username.

The URL for your profile will update immediately as you change the Username and your Followers won’t notice any change other than the new Username you just updated.

Note –  You can change your Username only once every 60 days. So control your emotions and get that Username you have always wanted.
