Why Bollywood Actors Should Not Be Given Control Of Their Twitter Accounts

Social media is a dangerous place. In fact, the whole internet is a dangerous place for making mistakes. Once you make some mistake, it stays there for your eternal shame. One wrong post and you will have the people reminding you of it in every conversation that you have for the foreseeable future. Social media does not care if you are rich or famous or powerful. Make a mistake and you will just be treated like any other guy; without mercy. Making a mistake on the internet is like painting a permanent target on your head; it is all that people see when they see your face. Bollywood celebrities have proven many times that they should not be in charge of their Twitter accounts and should let their PR Team handle social media. Here are some of them:

1. Siddharth Malhotra

He is the true definition of a gentleman. Or was it just for a movie? While there were protests going on in Haryana, Punjab and Chandigarh over the Ram Rahim Verdict, Siddharth Malhotra wished for everyone’s safety. Now should that not be a good thing? He did it right except that he also hoped in the same tweet that people could see his movie soon. A Gentleman is never insensitive to the plight of others and yet it seems that Siddharth Malhotra could not imbibe that value in his life from his movie.

2. John Abraham

John Abraham has a ripped body that most guys envy and most girls want. And yet it seems that he has no empathy in him. While it was widely believed that John’s Twitter account was hacked, it was not the case. He tweeted about the nuclear tests by North Korea and tried to plug in a promotion of his movie, much like Siddharth Malhotra.

3. Abhijeet Bhattacharya

While we may love him for his voice, his Twitter account is full of posts with blunders. Just have a look at what he tweeted for the Salman Khan hit-and-run case and you will know what kind of a person he is.

4. Paresh Rawal

Sometimes, Paresh Rawal’s sass from his role in the movie Phir Hera Pheri seems to pour out in his Twitter posts. While that may be considered as humourous and witty, it is also considered as a message from the government since he is a Member of the Parliament too, aside from being an actor.

5. Uday Chopra

Sometimes, people wonder if introducing Uday Chopra to Twitter was a mistake. Since the beginning of his timeline, he has tweeted some posts that are enough to give any person a headache without cure.

6. Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma may be cool to most people, but she made a huge blunder once when posting on Twitter. While the whole country was mourning the loss of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Anushka Sharma seemed to have succumbed to peer pressure and mourned the passing of ‘ABJ Kalam Azad’. We have no idea who that person is.

7. Hema Malini

When Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide in early 2016 after suffering from emotional trauma for days, Hema Malini condemned the action saying that she had not done right by God.

8. Twinkle Khanna

Mrs FunnyBones decided to take to Twitter to spot and shame a person defecating in the open, tweeting about Toilet:Ek Prem Katha in the same tweet. She decided to shame him for not being able to afford enough to poop in a proper toilet. Like that person did not have enough problems already.
