Did Sunny Leone Get Death Threats?

Celebrities are often the target of many death threats year round as many of their movies or commercials provoke the feelings of anger or disappointment in the public. Movie stars are prone to this as is evidenced by the death threats that Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali have been receiving death threats prior to the release of Padmavati. Deepika Padukone has been threatened that her nose will be chopped off while Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been threatened to be beheaded. When Sunny Leone was asked about her opinion on the issue, she said that the public needs to learn the fact that movies are made solely for the entertainment of the audience and not to provoke them.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, Sunny Leone said that she receives death threats every now and said that the media would be surprised by the sheer number of them if she showed them her inbox. She said that she does not allow the opinion of such people affect her life and that she maintains her integrity as a public profile by ignoring them and continuing to enjoy her work as an actress. However, she also said that if sometimes things get out of control then there is a simple way of handling things and that is by informing the police and lodging a complaint with them. Sunny revealed that she had asked Twitter previously to shut down the account of one such person.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, Sunny Leone said that as far as the death threats against the crew members of Padmavati go, the Censor Board has the responsibility for the release of the movie and that no death threats could thwart them.

However, according to a recent post by Sunny Leone on Twitter, she said that Dainik Bhaskar may have had a misunderstanding and that while she used to get the death threats in the past, she does not anymore.
